April Top 5
April has been quite a stressful month personally. Lots of changes, but also a chance to look at ways to lower stress from those harder days.
1. Warm buddy
My Spa Warming Wrap by Warm Buddy has been my saviour this month. It's really easy to use, just pop it in the microwave and you can use it for pain, relaxation or stress relief. Depending on which product, it stays heated for 30 – 60 minutes.
It contains their signature anti-stress aromatherapy blend (lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and cloves) and has a cozy washable cover are available in a variety of colours. As an added bonus, all Warm Buddy packs are 100% natural and made in Canada.
2. Jane Iredale Foundation
Jane Iredale's Purepressed Base Mineral Foundation is my absolute favourite foundation! It doubles as a sunscreen as it has SPF 20. It feels very lightweight and goes on smooth. My face looks pretty flawless and almost as if I am not wearing makeup. I love that it is not clogging my pores but helping and protecting my skin. A little goes a long way and I find lasts quite a long time.
Jane Iredale is 100% natural, gluten free, organic and certified cruelty-free by PETA. What is not to love?
I first tried the Acuball in a gentle yoga class in Toronto's Kula studio. They are heatable and oh so amazing to place under different areas of your body naturally relieving muscle & joint pain. After trying it once, I was hooked and bought one immediately. They come in 2 sizes, regular and mini.
It's unique design allows the body to relax while the acupoints and heat stimulate blood flow. This increases oxygenation & blood circulation, helping to nourish tissue and ‘flush out’ built up toxins that accumulate in tight muscles causing pain and relaxing the central nervous system.
4. S'well Water Bottle
With Earth day this past April 22, I decided to make my contribution by purchasing a reusable water bottle. I did some research and found some awesome reviews on the swell bottle and I couldn't agree more. It keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12, while also giving back to those in need. They are beautifully composed of non-leaching and non-toxic 18/8 stainless steel. The S'well water bottle comes in a huge range of colours and patterns.
5. Pana Chocolate
Pana chocolate is so rich and creamy without any dairy. It checks every box. Raw, organic, vegan, gluten free and no refined sugar. What more could you ask for? It's handmade in Melbourne, Australia and comes in a variety of flavours including Cinnamon, Coconut & Goji and my favourite Fig and Wild Orange. Pair it with a nice tea and you are set for an afternoon indulgence.
These are sold across Australia, however in Toronto, I have only been able to find them at Oats and Ivy.
